space-station-breznik-nasa-iss

Astronauts from the U.S. space shuttle Atlantis successfully implemented the third and last exit into space within its current mission to the International Space Station.
This is actually the 230th time Americans are in outer space in the history of NASA. The astronauts Robert and Randy Breznik Setchar spent around 6.30 hours outside the ISS. Their work was coordinated by Mike Foreman.

They have finished the work that was initiated under the previous departure of members of this crew of Atlantis, including the installation of the experimental space station modules. Shortly after returned to the space complex Breznik became a father which was a reason for a cosmic celebration.

nvidia-tesla-GPU

It has been quite some time since we started hearing the buzz around names like NVIDIA CUDA, Fermi and Tesla, but I guess it’s not that easy to see those in practice, retailing, still with all the rumors and hype around the it seems so difficult to forget NVIDIA’s promise: a promise to reduce the cost of supercomputers with up to 10 times!! This is the very same motto and it applies to advertising of the new Tesla 20-series GPU, who should come in the form of GPU PCI-Express Gen-2 cards too. According to the company, these video cards will be able to offer ray tracing and 3D Cloud computing at much lower price. Well we have all listened to those marketing messages more than once and "cheaper" for supercomputers is a concept of it’s own (talking about prices between $ 2,499 and $ 18,995). The series will be released in the second quarter of 2010. I would love to get one of those on my home desktop :) What about you?

Today I got my 7.1-channel Razer Megalodon gaming headset, and only a few minutes after the first try, I remained very pleasantly surprised by them. Stylish appearance and very comfortable for long wear design, ease of use and truly impressive sound using the stereo source into 2.0 mode and multichannel 5.1 or 7.1 sound and 7.1 respectively on the headset. In each mode the results were more than satisfactory. Lack of need for any extra drivers and physically comfortable and functional controller are quite big plus, especially if you are like a little more serious gamer, who goes to tournaments or similar events and you are used to move with your gear.

More impressions of the Razer Megalodon are still to come as I test them in everyday situations but so far so good, as I said after my first contact with the headset I am very pleasantly surprised by their performance and the general feel…
