Apple announced iPhone 4
After several mounts of information “leaks” Apple finally introduced iPhone 4. This happened on 7th of June at the opening of Apple WWDC developers conference, where Steve Jobs compared new iPhone with Leika camera and said that it will revolutionize the world of smartphones.
Obviously Apple considered the users opinion and tried to meet them – iPhone 4 is thinner, have frontal camera, get rid of the back aluminum panel and support connection standards like 3G, GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
Stylish design is predetermined by the improved functionality, for example, the steel corpus edge actually function as antenna, sim card is now microSIM, the edges are not so smooth all of these leading to extremely thin body – only 9,3 mm.
Regardless of compact dimensions Apple managed to insert into it more powerful battery, capable of maintaining 7 hours of conversations, or 10 hours of videos and pictures watching, or 40 hours of music listening. Other iPhone parameters were improved too – camera is now 5 megapixel and can record 30 fps video at 720 pixel, the display is 3,5″ S-IPS with 960 x 460 pixels resolution and contrast coefficient 800:1.
First countries where iPhone will be released are USA, France, Germany, Britain and Japan. In other countries it will be available later in July.
