Skytone Alpha 680 – First notebook based on Android mobile OS

It is something expected since Google developed it mobile OS Android and G1 smartphone. Surprisingly it is Chinese company Skytone, that first created notebook working under Google Android.
The new device is actually some strange combination between notebook, tablet pc and … smartphone! Yes it has processor ARM11 533 MHz used mostly in smartphones (like in iPhone 3G, Nokia 5800, HTC Dream), has full rotation 7” capacitive touchscreen with 800×480 resolution, 128MB DDR2, 1GB SSD for file storage.
Connectivity is assured by WiFi and as option DPRS, CDMA, EDGE and WCDM. It also has Ethernet socket, USB 2.0 ports and memory slots for SD/MMC/SDHC cards.

All this characteristics are not very impressive and really sounds more like smartphone than notebook, but the promised price for this device is really stunning.. it should be only 100 USD!
