Stylish nettop by eMachines
The eMachines company presented their new EZ1601-01 nettop with some very original design solutions. First impression is that this is actually a desktop PC with monitor, keyboard, mouse. But than you realize that there is no desktop itself and it is the design of the nettop that makes it as comfortable to work on as on a desktop.
The EZ1601-01 features 18,5″ widescreen LCD display with a resolution of 1366×768, Intel Atom 1,6 GHz CPU, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB HDD, DVD-RW, integrated video and audio, PS/2 keyboard and mouse. Connectivity is assured by Wi-Fi or Ethernet LAN and there are 5 USB ports.
All those features, including the price of about 400 $ are the golden standard for nettops, but yet again the design, allowing to place the nettop like an LCD monitor and detached 101/2 key keyboard makes the huge difference. Obviously the company is aimed at clients that would like to set an old fashioned and yet comfortable work place using new technology.
